I've heard fibromyalgia has nothing to do with the immune system. It's a central nervous issue....the brain and nerves aren't working together correctly

I’m confused because I thought new research as of 2024 came out and said that fibromyalgia was classified as an auto immune disorder, of the nervous system. Where the nervous system begins to have issues with sending signals.now it’s a disease of the immune system, caused by white blood cells not producing proteins? I didn’t even know white blood cells produced protines. What proteins? How are they produced and why? From what I have always understood that white blood cells are the immune response to infection, viruses ect. And they act as both defense and offense, they remember rna of virus and that builds the immunity. They destroy the virus/ infection. And then prevent it again in the future. That’s whole reason we do vaccines.. so then is fibromyalgia a vaccine related injury? This doesn’t seem to make much sense to me at least. And I fear is just adding to the flame that give validation for doctors to excuse it because it isn’t well explained

I’m lost at this point. All I know it I have 4 autoimmune diseases and fibromyalgia. I just don’t want to be in this severe pain anymore with a flare up.

I've been trying to put the pieces together for myself. I have fibromyalgia but I also have a low white blood cell count. My wounds don't heal as fast as they used to and no matter what, they immediately get red and inflamed looking like they are getting infected. It's almost like it happened overnight with this diagnosis.

Interesting, when I was first diagnosed with Fibro, they said it wasn’t genetic but my aunt has it, my brother has it and I have it. I also have an unknown arthritis, pots, and lupus/mix connective tissue disease. I’ve always thought was connected with my autoimmune diseases but doctors never agreed with that either. I will definitely be looking at this info. Thank you.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 15 years ago but was diagnosed last year with hypogammaglobulanenemia I am deficient in the immunoglobulin M which is responsible for fighting if bacteria and viruses. I think this is what he is talking about and I was. This was found to be genetic in my case.
