i cant express what your dad meant to me. i became a marine because of him. i am a combat vet that never forgot about his fortitude, his love of persistance, drive, and never to give in attitude. i realized after many years we shared the same birthday. Happy birthday, Jarrett I met your Dad and you at an autograph signing in Chicago when you were about 10 or 12 years old. You were with your nanny I think and I asked You for your autograph and you said your father didn’t allow you give autographs so I asked you if I could take a picture and before you could answer I snapped the shot. lol I took a football and I had my daughters and my wife there so he could autograph my cards i’ve cherished to this day. You’re father was so kind, soft spoken, and gentle. I loved him. He wasn’t just a hero to me. He was a man of compassion and driven to what he loved the best. Was lucky enough to see several of his football games and my eyes were always locked in on him. Just his presence on the field I was in awe. And you’ve certainly grew up in his footsteps happy birthday Jarret and I had many wonderful years of memories of your dad.
