The keyboard itself is like $100-$200. You’re paying $25,000 a year to license that proprietary software, which you can use with any keyboard. The keyboard itself just comes pre-programmed with macros that are useful, but you could totally just use your own keyboard with macros or a stream deck or lots of other things

iirc it’s ~30k for a barebones terminal (more terminals usually lower cost per terminal), and the contract to lease one is usually 2 years long.

Some central banks use them for market operations so there's no choice in not using them. you can say that they have a Monopoly. The quality of the softer packages has decreased gradually over the years because of this. The LSEG has been trying to modernize it and make improvements
