The keyboard itself just comes pre-programmed with macros that are useful, but you could totally just use your own keyboard with macros or a stream deck or lots of other things

iirc it’s ~30k for a barebones terminal (more terminals usually lower cost per terminal), and the contract to lease one is usually 2 years long.

Some central banks use them for market operations so there's no choice in not using them. you can say that they have a Monopoly. As a person who uses it daily I can tell you I have almost never used its functionality. We have our own routines that far surpass the npc Bloomberg terminal. It's fully just a flex.
