Magaly Vanessa :
The airport in Santa Maria about an 1 1/2 of Santa Barbara is even smaller. We have 2 airlines (as of recently). Their flights to Las Vegas and Phoenix. The TSA line is in a small room. There is a Restaurant, a car rental place and some vending machines. This SB one looks huge compared to the one in Santa Maria. 😫

SBA is even smaller, which is crazy because there are a lot of large planes and cross country routes. the baggage claim is literally a window where the worker pulls your luggage onto a shelf in front of everyone

Flights may be limited but with direct flights to DFW & PHX we can get anywhere- and it’s so much better than dealing with big city airports (LAX is the worst!)

When my dad worked there in the mid 70’s up to the early 90’s it was a tiny airport. That looks like a huge difference lol Of course it’s probably been over thirty years since I’ve seen it 😂

The old one was so small you had to wait outside tsa to board two flights there.

Easiest airport to depart from. You can show up like a half hour before your flight because there’s never a line for security.

And…we have visiting therapy dogs at SBP! We greet you as you arrive & wait for your baggage or sit with you if you are nervous or just say hi as you wait in line. 🐶

Love our little airport, my dad travels internationally a lot to go home to England so it’s a great way to get him to his connecting flights rather than driving to SF or LA

This is huge compared to State College! State College has like two airlines, no food other than vending past security (a small market before), 4 gates all in one area, a teeny, tiny baggage claim and not a jet bridge in sight. You board and deplane via ramp 😂
