Peruvian onions are very similar to vidalias. They are the same seed, just not grown in soil from Vidalia, GA. (My husband used to do the import clearance for them.)

I do red onion, cinnamon sticks, lemons(whole and half) ginger and lots of honey in water. Boiled and strained for a drink. My non onion eating kids love it and call it pink drink. Heals you fast!
