One common misconception is that fictionkins claim to be fictives/claim to be systems though that has nothing to do with one another

For fictionkins who identify as characters, another is: "Fictionkins don't believe they actually are that character in real life!" Which is just so wrong because if someone believes they were something in a past life and not anymore, they aren't fictionkins but experiencing a kardiatype (having been something in a past life but not anymore). Also many people mostly demonize IRLs (IRLs do exist and are similar to fictionkins, but in those videos they usually mess up definitions); yeah guess what you actually have to identify as that character in THIS life in order to be called fictionkin, it's not about past lives it's about who you are now! People calling fictionkins "the good ones" and IRLs "delusional" is also a thing and it's missing me off. People like to throw around the same stigma around fictionkins as they do with therians. Generally all the expectations some people have in which way a fictionkin "is allowed to be a fictionkin".
