this movie made me realize that the mother is really the lemon that creates the lemonade and the lemon cake. I remember in the scene when the dad makes the lemonade and I realized that it symbolized the richness that black women have. we are the fruit that adds flavor to any water. we are the women that children cannot live without. when the passed away I realized this. when my grandmother passed away I now understand this.
