The whole movie was about Spider... Without that trip it would've been an hour. Also he's the only one who doesn't become Navi. Jake did, Weaver did... BUT I think it's gonna be Spider helps them copy, but then since everyone gets a USB port (really FireWire since it can be host to host) they connect with the planet and become Navi.

It doesn't make sense to have Kiri have this level of control over Pandoran life and have Eywa as a real thing. meaning as a deity/fungus network connecting all Pandoran life. Because why would Eywa run the risk of making a human able to breathe on Pandora and bond with her? Is she suicidal or stupid? It could only be a pacifist "proving humanity that Pandora has more worth than the Ambergris or Unobtainium it contains like Dr Augustine tried to convince the RDA" (ie you can create value off an ecosystem without extractivism) but she does this precisely when she starts fighting back ?? And to add to the pain, they sidelined Varang and her theological skepticism to run the same threads. Take someone hostage as bait to drive Jake out, Jake and Quaritch truce, Quaritch takes Spyder with him, Tulkun hunting and fights, etc. And why did they ever refuse to fight back? Shouldn't they know better than to go against Eywa who decided to fight back? Assuming she's smarter than them since she connects all Pandoran life and stores all their memories.
