@farmhousewithashley: Serena wasn’t just a chicken. She was part of our routine, part of our home, and part of my son’s childhood 🤍 I never expected to bond with her the way I did. Chickens don’t live as long as people think and predators are a reality of farm life. Hawks, coyotes… sometimes there are no answers, just absence. She was gentle. She was loved. And even though she’s gone, she mattered. If you raise animals, you understand. Sometimes the smallest lives leave the biggest marks. We will miss you Serena.
