i worked at a contact center for a bank and when i was new, i was apparently mixing two locations up so when i would book appointments for people for the locations, it’d be wrong. i literally had NOOOO idea i was doing this bc they kept sending out an long email “make sure we’re not sending people to the wrong locations!” and since i hadn’t been told i was doing anything wrong, i kept doing my thing 😭 i still was never told it was me until my last day when one of my coworkers told me… not even my boss 😐

If you made the mistake then it makes sense that other people might be unclear on the correct way to do it as well. an email can remind everyone of the policy and hopefully help stop the mistake from happening again. and it's not like it said "hey everyone REESE MADE A MISTAKE" it's just an anonymous helpful reminder🤷🏾♀️

This shit pisses me off so much fr. I used to be a supervisor in a corp space and whenever I’d want to give feedback to a person my mgr would stop me and have me do a generalized message to the team. Every time. No one learned to correct their errors bc they thought it didn’t apply to them lmfoaanfbhf

When I changed my email signature and then an email went out that we are only allowed to have the Marketing approved sig. So I emailed leadership that I was just trying to be more company passionate (my sig line had our company vision) but I understand we must all be the same. So here we are now, I have the Marketing approved info 🙁

I’ve sent out a few of those emails however I make it a POINT to let the individual know (in person) that just because they’re the last person to make this mistake doesn’t mean they’re the only one so it’s 100% not targeted but that I genuinely feel like it would be a good reminder for everyone. I also do this without mentioning their specific incident in the email however if that person decides to share it with their peers that’s entirely their choice!
