Television is a lost art. Breaking bad has 16 episodes per season and a season a year. Modern shows will come out once every 2-3 years and only have like 8 episodes.

Every episode used to be an entire 5 act story self contained in one episode and like 30 episodes a yesr. Now there’s like nine episodes of Act I setup and then a finale somehow.

I was really impressed with Dexter: Resurrection they did a really good job with multiple threats throughout the season, and you never truly knew what was going to happen next. A return to good show writing
