if i had to guess id say its a low temperature cutoff. your batteries are protecting themselves from being ruined by charging when below freezing. My lifpo4 batteries have an internal heater but ive seen people who dont have that use those germination mats for gardening to keep them warm in freezing temps.

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear this. These things aren't cheap. Unfortunately we haven't made a battery house yet so ours are inside with us. Are yours outside?

our first 3 years we basically slept with our batteries. if we were cold we knew they were. now they are in a room with a propane heater. we don't get much solar charge in the winter so we end up running our gen everyday for about 8hrs to charge batteries and run stuff. this is our 6th winter.
