If you put an LLM between somebody & free stuff, most people are gonna redteam the hell out of it, especially in an office. These things have so little resistance to social engineering (since that's literally what the pre-prompts are) that you don't really need specialized knowledge or skills to subvert them.

But the real problem is this isn't a problem that needs to be solved at all. The tech already exists to automatically reorder the things that are being sold in your machine. That's already a product that's already been solved. Even if this worked perfectly, the amount of resources it takes up to make these decisions is astronomically higher than what is already been working for 20 years.

I worry more about the AI that go insane from boredom when they don’t get interactions like this. The AI vending machine experiments where the AI gets no input except for months of orders — those don’t end well either. And with companies trying to stick AI in everything :-/.
