Freshman year I transferred schools and had to sit the bench the whole year to be eligible for the next year. I went to every practice that year and every game even tho I didn’t have to. Next two years player as a starter. We went 22-0 junior year, then junior year in the quarter finals he took me out and put a less qualified senior in and we lost the game. That killed the game for me.

I went to a hs that’s big on “family community” pretty much all the kids that play in one sport play in all the other ones I knew I was gonna get cut before I even went to the tryout. When I got cut I stopped playing ball for good. All that time and grind and love for nothing just couldn’t even look at the sport anymore.
