@djayy.spam: V1 is called the decision speed. During the takeoff roll, it’s the last speed at which the pilot can reject the takeoff and still stop on the remaining runway. Once the aircraft passes V1: The runway left is shorter than the distance required to brake to a stop. Stopping would likely result in running off the end of the runway, which is extremely dangerous. Why continuing is safer than stopping At speeds above V1: Brakes alone may not be sufficient. Using reverse thrust takes time to deploy. Tires can overheat or fail. The aircraft may leave the runway or collide with obstacles continuing the takeoff: The aircraft is already close to flying speed. It can lift off, climb, and handle the problem in the air. Aircraft are certified to safely fly even if an engine fails at V1 How V1 is chosen V1 isn’t a fixed number. it’s calculated for each takeoff, based on: Aircraft weight Runway length and slope Weather (wet/contaminated runway) Aircraft performance and braking capability It’s specifically set so that: • Below V1 → stop is safer • Above V1 → go is safer #v1 #enginefailure #facts
The Pilot: That's it Climb continue climb airbus 😂 That's it

Yeah really just legendary to fly the EFP with gear down

Not always bellow v1 stop is more safe. Actually in high speed regime you stop only in case engine fail, engine fire or aircraft is unsafe to fly

Only applicable on a balanced field takeoff, which is not always the case at all

Actually it may not always apply. In an event where structural integrity is compromised, or a dual engine failure or fire, “Avgeeks” say that after v1 should rotate despite anything. But real avgeeks know that if you rotate with structural integrity compromised, simply to put it, your wings or tail detached, do you really wanna continue takeoff after losing hydraulic power and lift? It’s better to overrun the runway into trees if surrounding allows as medical and fire trucks would be on scene compared to crash landing into a open forest with no one to help.
