I’ve had two babies with laryngomalcia. We did swallow studies which clearly showed they were struggling. Had surgery and Dr. went in with a scope. Took 2 mins & said he saw “nothing wrong.” I wanted a second opinion, took them to another ENT, and DR found problem immediately. Had surgery to remove a flap, and they started breathing and eating better immediately.

My laryngomalacia baby turns 6 in May and these videos are like a direct flashback. The first 3-3.5 years of his life were SO HARD. Hang in there mama and advocate like hell, you got this!

That is laryngomalacia for sure. My second and third grandsons had it. Second had to have surgery around three weeks to correct, third one outgrew it. It is scary for sure. Keep pushing the doctors mama! ENT for sure

This must have been so stressful for you, did you sleep at all watching him like this . I feel for you I really do . How did they even let him leave the hospital with his crying like that .

my son had this.. you gotta fight the doctors to hear you! I went multiple times a week and I finally demanded a referral. I wasn't very nice about it I probably said something along the line of if anything happens to my son I will sue you.

My Laryngomalacia baby is almost 12! She had a pretty bad case of it. She finally started to grow out of it around age 4.

Has he been seen by a pediatric ENT? My 3 yr old has very severe LM and we see an amazing ENT. He has unfortunately had to have numerous surgeries but the first year of his life was non-stop advocating.

My baby did a lot of this. We take turns holding him upright at night because laying flat makes his laryngomalacia and silent reflux worse. He also has a tongue tie which adds to things.
