A few tips if you’re here too: If you can donate your hair, do it. Waiting while it’s falling out and hurting just makes it harder. The pain and sensitivity only get worse. What helped me: I washed my hair one last time. Shampoo and conditioner. Let it fully dry. Separated it into ponytails and cut it for donation. Then used a low setting with a one guard and gently shaved my head. Instant relief. Truly. Tonight I’ll use a little oil and sleep in a satin beanie since the shedding will continue. But shaving it helped the pain tremendously. I’m so grateful my family was there with me. Once the moment came, it felt calm. And I knew I was doing the right thing for my body. If you’re I did it.
