Its because it all goes from relateable low budget builds and ends up with supercars that the average person has no interest in and cant relate to. Its the same reason roadkill became so popular. They did stuff anyone could do on any budget and showed how you could have fun doing it

We watched an average guy going though struggles with buying cars like most men who like cars to do but then they got rich and lavish lifestyles that we had to watch. So it was a huge turn off.

They’re not relatable anymore that’s why I started watching pole barn garage advise grip garage, and shows like that with the truth is they’ve even got money now and you can see the difference and how they act in what they buy and what they do I can’t relate to none of that

It doesn’t help that they’ve driven the salvage market to the point where new was cheaper in some scenarios.

The classic junk car channels are slowly taking over the scene, the tuner/super car scene is old news and unfortunately too expensive now.

nah i just think they dug themselves into the hole. they keep buying crazy exotics, they keep upscaling having to much overhead, and they just left their audience in the dust, the normal people cant just relate to "my $5mil car broke in 16 hrs" or "I bought a $2mil flooded P1"

oh no the 9th YouTuber this month has bought a Bugatti and a Koenigsegg that's not why I started watching these people they were working on regular people cars with regular people budgets and now they're buying multiple hundred thousand dollar cars with car payments that cost more than my house we didn't lose the plot they did

Gingium is about the only one that I believe never stepped out and act rich. Still makes good builds, and makes good, relatable, content

Entire thing was reliant on supercar values going up forever so that constantly flipping paid for itself. Once values stagnated or went down it got too expensive

“Untouchable” I’ll give you the whole premise of every youtube car video, buys car, proceeds to read the brochure, “builds it” be it either a wrap, exhaust, twin turbos etc and then does donuts… the end! Every YouTube video with cars is the same especially the ones with more money, they’ll say they built it but have a team of guys doing it and they’ll usually never get hands on with the car 😭😭😭

it's unsustainable, they ride the wave and now people are struggling and really don't care about this stuff anymore cause we are just trying to survive out here in the real world.

Enter Superfastmatt. I find his content enjoyable. No supercars. His landspeed car took him years to build. As did his off-road Viper.

What happens is the make so much money off YouTube and they have to spend money to offset their income so the easiest way is buying super expensive cars. U can only build so many cheap “relatable” cars. When they can buy 1 400k car.

Air based on about oh it’s because they’re showing cars that are unattainable. No, it’s oversaturation in a market where there’s already very limited things you can do for showing vehicles and people just continue to oversaturate and oversaturate more and more Youtubers more and more videos so it’s the same stuff different day different people all doing the same thing
