@mattperedino: Most LED bulbs don’t emit steady light. They turn on and off hundreds of times per second. It happens so fast your eyes don’t consciously register it, but your brain and nervous system still have to process it. That invisible flicker acts like background noise for the nervous system and can: • contribute to headaches, irritability and anxiety • increase eye strain and visual fatigue • keep the body slightly “on” instead of fully settling • interfere with normal circadian signaling at night • make it harder to fall asleep or stay asleep • feel especially noticeable for kids and more sensitive nervous systems For us, the difference was obvious at night. After switching to low-flicker, warmer, circadian-friendly bulbs, the house felt calmer. Less stimulating. More relaxing. 🌙 Like the space finally matched the time of day. Growing up, most of us had incandescent bulbs, steady light, warm color, no flicker. This constant pulsing light is a relatively new stressor. If you want the exact bulbs we use in our home, comment “bulb” and I’ll send the link 💡
