Hey TikTok fam! Let's dive into the heartwarming story of Lionel Messi's nuclear family – the soccer legend, his wife Antonela Roccuzzo, and their three adorable sons. From childhood sweethearts to a powerhouse family of five, here's everything you need to know. Buckle up for the details! It all started in Rosario, Argentina, back in 1996 when Messi was just 9 years old. He met Antonela through her cousin (and his best friend) Lucas Scaglia during a visit to her house. Messi was smitten instantly, even promising to marry her one day! But life took him to Barcelona at age 13 for his soccer career and growth hormone treatment. They lost touch until around 2005-2008, when a family tragedy (the death of Antonela's friend) brought Messi back to support her, rekindling their romance. They kept it low-key at first, but Messi confirmed their relationship publicly in a 2009 interview. He proposed in 2010, and they tied the knot on June 30, 2017, in a star-studded wedding in Rosario – dubbed the "wedding of the century" with 260 guests, including Shakira and soccer icons. Antonela, a former dental student and model, has been Messi's rock, often sharing family moments on IG.Now, onto their kids – all boys, all born in Barcelona, Spain, during Messi's golden era with FC Barcelona. Messi calls fatherhood his greatest achievement, even getting tattoos for each son!First up: Thiago Messi Roccuzzo, born November 2, 2012. At the time, Messi was at his peak, smashing records with 91 goals that year and winning his fourth Ballon d'Or. He missed no games for the birth but announced it joyfully on social media, saying he was "the happiest man in the world." Shortly after, he debuted a tattoo of Thiago's name and tiny handprints on his calf during a match. Thiago, now 13, plays for Inter Miami's U-13 academy and is a quiet, soccer-loving kid who idolizes his dad.Next: Mateo Messi Roccuzzo, born September 11, 2015. This was during Barcelona's epic treble-winning season (La Liga, Copa del Rey, Champions League). Messi skipped training to be at the birth but suited up the next day for a huge game against Atletico Madrid. He came off the bench, scored the winner, and celebrated with a thumb-sucking gesture – a nod to baby Mateo! Messi later called Mateo a "little monster" full of energy, the total opposite of shy Thiago. Now 10, Mateo's known for his cheeky personality and viral trolling moments, like chanting for Real Madrid at home games.Last but not least: Ciro Messi Roccuzzo, born March 10, 2018 Messi was Barcelona's captain then, leading them to another La Liga title. He pulled out of a match against Malaga to be by Antonela's side for the birth, prioritizing family over the game. He shared the news on Instagram with a photo of Ciro's tiny hand, captioning it "Welcome Ciro!!!" Both parents got tattoos – Messi added Ciro's name and birthdate to his calf, while Antonela inked his name on her arm. Ciro, now 7, is the baby of the family, often seen in cute videos playing soccer or hanging with his brothers.Today, the Messis live in Miami, where Lionel plays for Inter Miami. Antonela runs a kids' clothing line, and the family enjoys beach days, Disney trips, and supporting Messi's games. Messi says his kids keep him grounded – Thiago's thoughtful, Mateo's a firecracker, and Ciro's the sweet one. Their bond? Unbreakable. Family first for the GOAT! What’s your fave Messi family moment?
