His acting career spanned between 1963 and 1994, in that time he came out in a large and varied amount of stage plays and feature films. Although he is best known for his portrayal of the fictional character Gomez Addams in The Addams Family movies, Julia recieved a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor for his role in the 1985 film "Kiss of the Spider Woman."
