Not that she should stay with him, but prenups work both ways. He could give up all rights to anything she built up during their marriage.

Prenups are actually good and valid. It’s a smart thing to do but not a gold digger thing. It simply states upfront what would happen should things fall apart wow the two of you like each other. As someone going through a five-year divorce, with an unreasonable ex, even with a prenup, and someone who never had any gold to dig… It does at least provide a baseline for separating. The problem here is he is one-sided.

In my opinion, a man who thinks he's the prize is way worse than his mother's son.
He will give you the minimum and think he has done more than enough.

The prenup part isn’t bad but him refusing to compromise is a huge issue. However u can put in prenup any property u buy is only yours even the assets but him refusing to move there is the issue

I mean I agree that they should break up but could she put a clause in the prenup that says that any assets she acquires before and during the marriage are hers in case of a divorce/separation?

The real issue here is not the prenup but the fact that he doesn't want to move out of "his" home to create a new one with her, as she wants a place for them where they choose everything g together and grow there together.... The orenup at the end of the day is bot the real issue

she needs to buy a house before marriage, doesnt have to live in it and can rent it out. Since it was hers before marriage, she can add it to prenup just like he is doing.

OP wants a partner. She isn’t trying to marry into British aristocracy— she wants to build a life with her husband. Totally normal and what most American women want with their husbands these days

she could change the prenup, everything she buys during marriage stays hers and he doesn't get a half?
