PERFECT message, imo. Your feelings are valid and they should be ashamed. Too often foster "parents" are only in it for the money (or access to children bc they are creeps). The rules are strict, the punishments are harsh, and god FORBID you step out of line even once. Meanwhile, they can put a little Christian feather in their cap and brag about how they take in "troubled children" to their church friends 🙄

Abandoning a child is one of the cruelest things someone can do especially to a child who is already in desperate need of parental figures (which is what they promised they would be for you) and I'm so so sorry they did that to you. 💔

I know you said there's no closure, but like you said, you got to say your peace. Then you saw how they reacted when confronted with what should be a shameful memory. No regret, no apologies, no attempt at an explanation. You have seen what's behind the mask, not the glorified mask you saw in your time of need. Unfortunately, a lot of times our "heroes" are unmasked later on. Hopefully this does help you move on, especially knowing you've now helped the foster community for the better.

I got a neighbor across the street from me. She’s 82 and has fostered over 50 kids no matter their behavior she never gave up on them. Most of them are still in contact with her and are very successful in life now bc of her “their words not mine”
