@her.locd.life: ‼️Quick camera note (this matters 👇🏽) Before choosing a lens, it helps to understand whether you’re using full-frame or APS-C, because it affects image quality and how your shots look. 📸 Full-frame cameras They perform better in low light, have wider dynamic range, and make it easier to get a shallow depth of field (more background blur). They usually cost more and are larger, but they deliver higher overall image quality and a more professional feel. 📸 APS-C (crop) cameras They’re more affordable, smaller, and lighter. The crop factor gives extra reach, which can be helpful when filming yourself or shooting from a distance. They’re still very capable, just not as strong in low light as full-frame. ❗️Why this matters: Your camera sensor changes how wide or tight a lens appears, which is why knowing this helps you choose the right focal length without guessing. Your lens isn’t just a piece of gear, it’s a storytelling choice. 🎥 ✍🏽 ⇨ A 16mm pulls people into your world. It shows context, movement, and environment. ⇨ A 30mm feels natural and balanced. It’s the lens most creators can live on. ⇨ A 50mm slows things down. It creates depth, focus, and that cinematic separation. If your content hasn’t been matching the vision in your head, it’s probably not your camera or your creativity. It’s the perspective you’re choosing. Before buying another lens, ask yourself how you want your audience to FEEL when they watch your videos. Wide. Balanced. Or cinematic. That answer makes the decision clear. 📌 Save this for your next gear decision, it’ll save you money and frustration later. 📸 Lenses in video: 16 mm: @Sony Alpha E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS 30mm: @Sigma Canada 30mm f/1.4 DC C DN Sony E Lens 50mm: @Viltrox AF 50mm F2.0 Air #cameratips #contentcreationtools #lenses #filmingtips #cameragear
