✨You don’t have to earn your food✨ Who feels like if they skip a workout, they have to restrict themselves with food to ‘make up for it’?! In the past, I was stuck in this mentality. If I missed a workout, I would skip a meal to make up for the calories I didn’t burn. Or if I overindulged one day or over a weekend, I’d punish myself by going extra hard in the gym to ‘burn off’ what I ate. This was a horrible cycle to be in. It made me fear food, resent my body, and view exercise as a punishment instead of something I actually enjoyed. Here’s the truth: missing a workout doesn’t mean you need to skip meals. Overindulging doesn’t mean you have to punish yourself with cardio. Your body deserves fuel every day, no matter what. Rest days are important, and skipping a workout because you’re tired, overwhelmed, or just not feeling it is OK. Learning to give myself grace and listen to my body changed everything. Now, I move because I want to, not because I feel like I have to. And I eat because my body deserves to be nourished—not because I’m trying to earn or burn calories.
