Did you have to do anything to yours when you got it I got the same one before even bringing the heater into the tent it jumped right to 5000!! Ppm and doesn’t seem to actually read properly

really need an o2 monitor too. propane doesn't start producing CO until o2 falls below 19.5-18.5%. below 19.5% o2 in the atmosphere is oxygen deficient for humans. you can pass out before the CO monitor reads anything and won't wake up until the heater shuts off at 18.5%
