@beachlifemumma: We won’t be taking our Christmas tree down until the Twelfth Night. Not because of superstitions. Not because we’re being sentimental on purpose. Simply because I love it. I love the glow in the evenings, the way the decorations catch the light, the quiet magic it adds to the house when December feels like it’s rushing past too fast. I love remembering the effort it took to put it all up, the boxes pulled down, the tangled lights, the boys hovering with excitement. After all that, I’m in no hurry to pack it away. Some things are allowed to linger a little longer. I've heard people say decorations go up Christmas eve and down on boxing day. Like what the heck? It takes way too long to decorate just to have them up for three days.

I usually leave it up but it went down weekend just gone only because my son asked for the decorations to come down. He is a December birthday 22nd so I think all the presants all the change he just wanted the house to be back to how it is usually plus he wanted more space to play ! we had it up the on the 29th of Nov tho so up in good time.
