@travisnevilleauthor: I’ve said before that Dave Chappelle is the greatest stand-up comic of our generation. Talent-wise, he’s untouchable. Which is exactly why his latest special was such a letdown. He wasted the second half lecturing the audience—black history, civil rights, Trump derangement—like a bored professor who mistook applause for insight. Yes, the idea that those themes are the core of what makes the 🇺🇸 great is laughable. No, I didnt laugh. It wasn’t stand-up. It was moral posturing dressed up as comedy. A man with generational comedic talent chose politics over laughs. That’s the crime.
