I’ve been through some of the hardest moments in my life, but through it all, one thing has remained constant, him. My boyfriend has never left my side, no matter how heavy the days became or how uncertain the future felt. His love has been the kind that shows up, stays, and keeps holding on. When I was hospitalized for acute appendicitis and had to undergo surgery, he was there. After long hours at school, he would come straight to the hospital, bringing fruits and meals cooked by his mommy simple gestures that carried so much warmth and love. He made the cold hospital walls feel less lonely just by being beside me. Then came the diagnosis of PCOS. It brought mood swings, frustrations, and physical pain I didn’t always know how to manage. But he handled it all with patience and understanding. He never once made me feel like I was too much. His quiet strength helped me hold myself together when I was falling apart inside. And now, with this new battle autoimmune encephalitis there have been days when the suffering felt unbearable. Days when I wanted to give up because the pain and confusion were too much to carry. But he never left. He stayed, held my hand, prayed for me, and reminded me that I wasn’t alone, even in my darkest moments. His love isn’t loud or flashy it’s steady, kind, and unwavering. I’ve learned what true love looks like because of him. It’s in the way he shows up, stays patient, and chooses me every day even when it’s hard.
