@ken: Can someone tell me why cities don’t already do this? Less accidents, safer roads, easier job for law enforcement and emergency services... What am I missing here? #newyearseve #dui #stopdrunkdriving #publicsafety
“Traffic would get worse” I don’t know if that’s possible 😂 but, 2 lanes. One for ride shares/public transit that doesn’t have to stop, one for private vehicles that does stop. It’s like paying a toll. It’ll take 5-10 seconds (as long as you’re actually sober)

TO BE CLEAR: this isn’t a REAL idea to fix the budget. It’s to make the streets safer on one of the most dangerous days of the year

KC_Chauffeur :
As a professional chauffeur, I hit the highway very early each morning. It is terrifying to know that every Saturday morning and every Sunday morning I share the road with drunks who are still celebrating Friday and Saturday nights.

I'm all for this!
But the majority of society are addicted to alcohol, and the uproar would be deafening.
Should still do it, tho.
