I do agree with what you’re saying but I believe you’re paying for the convenience of not having to set up/carry/buy tent ect, I did it once and it was nice to have especially when packing up

Going to edc Thailand in 2 weeks and have spent just under 2gs for all 3 day tickets, a week at 5 star accom, shuttles to and from every day & my return flights outta Tulla. BTV is a mad rip off, always has been.

unfortunately this has been a known thing for overnight camping festivals in so many places - if you aren’t prepared to take the risk of having a really unorganised set of festival and event managers you shouldn’t go. i absolutely agree they are blasting people out of their money but it is something that you do expect from larger companies etc these days :(

I understand a few of your points, but when buying your ticket it does state what is included in lux camping, all the perks etc and the price so that falls back on whoever purchases it. Obviously it’s an absurdly high price, but I can never understand when people complain about it as you know what you are getting before it’s purchased. And again being better prepared for the weather is all on you. I’m pretty sure every tiktok I’ve seen about btv in previous years is about how hot and humid and dusty it can get. Victoria weather is unpredictable, hot and windy in a paddock festival it’s bound to throw dust around. You’re obviously stating your opinion and that’s great to spread awareness to those thinking of going next year, however there are some things stated that can easily be avoided had you done proper research. This isn’t a dig at you whatsoever, again it’s your experience just doing a littttle bit more research on certain things might’ve helped your experience a bit more.
