Many people, mainly children, reported seeing “butterfly people” which were believed to be angels that protected them. But most likely they were third man hallucinations or corpses flying that had been degloved, their skin a result of the “wings”

Joplin tornado survivor here, not so fun fact of the day: the tornado was so serious radio stations worked alongside news stations to relay weather information to locals in/near the Joplin area. Issue is these radio towers were built to be easily rebuilt not to withstand. During the tornado several stations suffered severe static and/or complete destruction. This static and sudden cut in stations led to an anxiety/ paranoia problem in children.

The scariest thing to me is the deafening silence aftermath of tornados. Because there should be people making noise but theyve been trapped in debris and rubble maybe not even alive to make sounds anymore. Towns falling silent.
