@fingrith.hall.far: A sheep or any other ruminant animal chewing there “cud” is a process called Rumination. This process is where the sheep will eat hay or vegetation which goes into the rumen the first stomach and the process of breaking down the food and fermentation begins. They will then regurgitate this semi digested food (the cud) back into its mouth and begin to re chew the food encouraging more saliva to reduce its size so they can swallow it again. Once they have swallowed it again the food will be passed to the second stomach (Reticulum) then the third stomach (Osasum) then the true stomach (Abomasum) for final digestion 🐑🐑🐑 #farming #agriculture #sheepfarmer #farmfacts #fyp
