Growing up in New England and later spending time in southern states, I learned the difference between people who are nice, but not kind, and people who are kind, but not always nice. In New England we are kind, but not always nice and it is definitely a better way to live.

This reminds me of a time I was introduced to a new coworker and I blurted out “you have lipstick on your teeth” I felt bad right after because I know they might have embarrassed them, but that’s me, I will apologize next time I get a chance
