This is a real Hero of World War II, the kind of rugged little machine that helped win the war long before it ever found its way into my garage. These Jeeps were dropped out of airplanes, dragged through mud, pushed, pulled you name it and they still kept going. We’ll go through the incredible history, take it out for a drive, and talk about why this simple, tough, bare-bones vehicle became one of the most important machines ever built. I remember those ads. My dad and his hunting buddies were WW2 vets. One of his friends bought one and I remember riding in it and listening to war stories. Jay, we have one thing in common our 1st day - 04/28/1950.
