Norwegian here (land of Kari Traa) have you tried Aclima, Devold og Ulvang? Much better quality wool clothing than kari traa. Aclima also has that hooded sweaters that are awesome for skiing on colder days

do you have any thoughts/recommendations on hardshell vs softshell? Is there a noticeable difference in comfort? I'd like to switch to a shell and more flexible midlayers for skiing but i dont have the budget for a bunch of different types.
