It is the middle Tutor Book. It introduces quavers, which are not used in Books 1 and 2. In the Nursery Rhyme Book both the rhythms and speeds of the pieces are often well-known. In order to establish a good technique and a safe beat it is important initially to play these pieces slowly. If the child already knows a slightly different melody or rhythm then you should allow them to play that, but point out the differences from the score.
