after two separate relationships with discards at my age of 41. I HATE to admit that detaching and letting go of control is the simple answer. People DO orbit in and out of your life and time does heal wounds, it's going to be messy and they do often come back 🤷🏼♂️but the honeymoon is over.

Nothing I do is special or an exception. Only reason I’m still here is because they’re doing the work. It’s slow but she is trying. Will that be enough? We’ll see soon as a boundary is approaching.

nah fam... if he ain't actively working on himself.. I. Don't. Want. Him. 👏🏼 ... The only thing differently I would do is have stronger boundaries. Be able to call him out on his BS and cut it off at the first sign of my peace being disrespected ✌🏼

This is so true! Mine came back and after my education on the topic, I kinda detached and then realized I didn’t want them anymore 😀 … not in the same intense / permanent way anyway. They’re still around now! But I’m not expecting anything anymore and we are just kinda casual, and fading out.
