Their "niceness" is manipulation . "you're so giving" "you're like a daughter to me" " you have a car, it's so much easier for you" buttering you up so you do stuff that is their responsibility. When the veil lifts and you see their game .. it's over , you lose a lot of thos people, because you don't give anymore and that's all they wanted from you.

Yes. Weaponising Niceness. My ex used this niceness particularly to make my friends and family believe he was a sincere caring man, so when I did finally try to report abuses by him, I would have an impossible task. Incredibly devious. And the whole time he was discrediting me to his family too. So he easily turned everyone against me during the divorce because he had been carefully working on people for over 10 years!
