@socorrosociety: Close-up of the seat mend on my vintage Levi’s 👖🪡 I used our Persimmon Flower full-sheet pattern and the white thread from our Make It a Kit add-on. For the patch, I used a scrap of 100% cotton, non-stretch denim and cut it with pinking shears so the edges wouldn’t fray. These jeans fit pretty snug, so I stitched the patch in every direction to make sure it would hold up. Update: it’s been worn, bent, squatted in, sat on the floor — and washed 7–10 times since I mended them in the spring. Happy to report the patch is still holding up beautifully 🙌 If you’re wondering whether a seat mend is uncomfortable or bulky — I can’t feel it at all, and it’s totally undetectable. No awkward rectangle lump here 🤠 Happy mending & happy new year ✨🪡
