@jasminedepqua: Thank you @djaysghostwriter for bringing awareness to this topic. I've never talked about this with anyone but my sweet mutual @"I Plead the Thrift!" 🧡 Thank you so much for reassuring me and always being there for me. I appreciate you so much and can't wait to meet you tonight 🫶🏼 My dad is nonchalant, doesn't talk much and keeps to himself. But whenever he says something, it's valuable and meant to be cherished. He's so a strong, resilient, sweet and selfless. I'm grateful to have a dad like him. Con thương ba nhiều lắm ❤️❤️❤️ #vietnam #asian #asianfood #pho #boba
Same. Even colorism. Some Asians cry because they’re not pale enough, or they’re never paler. Even when my skin is lighter than my family, I’m still “not pale” enough. And I cry sometimes because of this. And people act as if “that’s not the same as racism” when it feels like it is. My skin is light enough that I can pass as a “white” person. But my skin IS NEVER pale enough.

This is so true bc racism is so insidious that it has tendrils in every aspect of life in most countries. The courts, the hospitals, the schools, the people etc

Racism has such a deep impact on not only our personal lives, but our world and the systems of it. Racism is just “politics” to the privileged, but to the victims, it’s life or death, and as history shows, it often leads in death.
