Korean Inspired Braised Beef Bowls (Slow Cooker) 🍲 DEF in my top 3 lol 🤩🤩🤩 Ingredients Beef * 3–4 lb chuck roast * Salt & pepper * 1–2 tbsp oil (for searing) Sauce * ½ cup beef broth (50% less sodium) * ⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce * 2 tbsp dark soy sauce * 2 tbsp brown sugar * 1–2 tbsp mirin or honey * 3 tbsp gochujang * 1 tbsp gochugaru (optional) * 2 tbsp rice vinegar * 1 tbsp sesame oil * 1–2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste * ¼ cup green onions, chopped * 1 whole yellow onion, sliced * 1 Asian pear, grated (optional) * Shiitake mushrooms, whole or halved Marinated Jammy Eggs * 4–6 boiled eggs (6½–7 min) * 2–3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce * 1 tsp sesame oil * 2 tbsp water * 1 tsp sugar * 2 tbsp green onions, chopped * ¼–½ tsp gochugaru Marinated Cucumbers * Mini cucumbers, sliced * 1–2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce * 1 tsp sesame oil * 1–2 tsp rice vinegar * 1 tsp honey * ¼–½ tsp gochugaru Bowls & Garnish * Steamed jasmine rice * Kimchi * Marinated jammy eggs * Marinated cucumbers * Sesame seeds * Green onions Instructions 1️⃣ Prep the Beef Pat chuck roast dry. Season generously with salt & pepper. 2️⃣ Sear Heat oil in skillet over med-high heat. Sear roast 2–3 min per side until browned. 3️⃣ Make the Sauce Whisk together: reduced beef broth, soy sauces, brown sugar, mirin/honey, gochujang, gochugaru, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger-garlic paste, green onions, and grated Asian pear. 4️⃣ Slow Cook Layer sliced onion & mushrooms in crockpot. Place roast on top. Pour sauce over. * LOW: 7–8 hrs * HIGH: 4–5 hrs Beef should be fall-apart tender. 5️⃣ Marinate Jammy Eggs Boil eggs 6½–7 min → ice bath 5 min → peel. Mix soy, sesame oil, water, sugar, green onions, gochugaru. Marinate eggs 15–30 min (or longer) 6️⃣ Marinate Cucumbers Mix cucumber slices with soy, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, gochugaru. Let sit 10–15 min (or longer) 7️⃣ Shred Beef Shred roast with forks. 8️⃣ Reduce Sauce (Optional but 🔥) Scoop 1–2 cups cooking liquid → simmer 5–8 min until glossy. Skim excess oil. Pour back into beef. Let soak 10–15 min. 9️⃣ Build Bowls Rice → braised beef + mushrooms → marinated jammy egg → marinated cucumber + kimchi. 🔟 Garnish Garnish with sesame seeds & green onions. #fyp #DinnerIdeas #recipes #homecooking #explorepage✨
