I scored 30 points in a preseason game before senior season, coach told me I’d be a captain and get most of the minutes. As soon as the season started I never played. Averaged 6 ppg. Someone had the film of that 30 point game, I got offers from that one game and went on to average 24 ppg my last college season. Point is one good game can show your true potential to the ones watching

Some coaches really be the reason why you quit your sport. Whether it be favoritism or they just flat out don’t like you. I literally got benched most of my freshman and sophomore year and I just never came back

this is why I quit basketball, my JV coach pushed me to Varsity as much as possible and was a great coach and man, but when I did anything for varsity coach never got a shot, even though I dominated practices

One time during a game I was subbed into the 4th quarter in a varsity game and I was able to outscore everyone on varsity. Another time during a game I was subbed in for someone got to play for a minute or two already dropped a bucket and I got subbed back out for the starter to get back in. One of the many reasons why I quit basketball and tht is my favorite sport

Happened to me last year, made me feel like I didn’t belong on the court even though I played great on scout when I could play free. Got a new coach this year who lets me play free and it’s the most fun I’ve had in years.
