Aircraft carriers are extremely expensive and our Defense force isn’t interested in force projection which is the only thing they’re good for.

The ski jumps were left on from the Spanish design. There is no infrastructure (besides the jumps) to support jets. The flight decks of the ANZAC class are for helicopters only.

why are the flight decks of the Canberra class painted for f35b vtol fighters, if they can't operate them why the black line running the length of the deck straight up the ramp .

Funny thing is that Australia has actually had *three* aircraft carriers in its history, which is still three more than Germany ever had. Canada had three carriers as well, also from the Illustrious and Majestic classes.
