@_itsheathernoelle: No one talks about how autism can bring the kind of joy that makes your heart ache… and grief that does the same. Both live here. I grieve the lives I imagined for my children and the suffering they have to endure because of autism. It’s also bittersweet because I will always be needed. I will always be “Mommy” to 3 beautiful humans. This is OUR journey with 3 children who will need lifelong care. As terrifying as it can be, I can’t wait to see what a beautiful life we will have as forever parents. Not bad.
