To get a proper hold you need to use jam and oil the bands when taking out so it's not ripping his hair he got fine hair like my little boy and I use jam x

hey girl, i use wet styling gel to style, then apply mousse when finished. put a bandana on to keep it flat then use a dryer/portable overhead dryer for like 5mins.. works like a treat and my kids have afro 4b hair.. would be happy to send stuff privately xx

Make flex seed gel! It’s simple, hydrating and natural. Ad flex seeds and hot water in a pan and boil it fore a bit. Drain the water out of the flaxseeds in a container and storage the liquid in the fridge when it is coold down it will get a gel consistency and is perfect fore the hair!

With the elastic bands, I dip them in a bit of hair oil so it’s not too harsh on the hair and I find it’s pretty easier to take them out of my daughters hair

Oil his hair. Use a neutral smelling hair oil - and then braid it. As an Indian my mother did this as a child not only did it keep my braids really neat it made my hair thicker and longer. Indians have been doing this for years. It’s so good for fine hair. Just don’t use too much oil. A teaspoon for all of his hair is more than enough and only oil his scalp and use the excess on your hands to run it through the end of the hair.
