@kandmroofing: My client needed help with a denied claim, so he did what most reasonable homeowners did.. he called a bunch of roofing companies to come look at his roof. I was maybe the 5th or 6th guy on the roof and it was obvious when I got up there. I saw plenty of legitimate wind damage on the clients roof, but that’s not the only thing I saw. Tons and tons of damage that was very obviously way more recent than the storm date, and also slightly inconsistent with wind. You see, that’s the problem with having too many contractor’s on your roof. Some get greedy and fabricate damage to make it seem like there’s more wind damage than there really is. This is the lazy way out. I was the only person to bring this to my clients attention and be later chose me to be the contractor to assist in his claim with Allstate. A repair assessment video got the job done and we were able to complete the project in a day. What’s the lesson in all this?
