He was a well-written psychopath. Genuinely incapable of understanding the world or other people. Deeply depressed because he couldn't find joy in anything except fighting for his life. Honestly couldn't fathom why other people got it and he didn't.

What I like about him is that you can sympathize with him, even related to him in specific ways, while also knowing he can't and shouldn't be redeemed. He's a villain with depth, but one that doesn't seek pity. He's committed to the role that fate bestowed upon him. And ultimately, just like a dog that's gone rabid, you may feel sad about it, but for everyone's sake, you have to put him down.

I like to think of him as an inverted WoL, we kill and slaughter untold thousands of creatures for good, but nobody comes to us for warmth, comfort or love. he is someone incapable of relationships but with us he finds something, meaning. he flies to the ends of the universe with us to save the world because it would distract us from our fight. its almost intimate in a way, he is willing to abandon anything and everything for it, this one moment with us, to be there with us at the universes' end, to share that final battle. the most unlikely friend we've ever had

I did and do love him, and especially the bitter end. I felt so sad, as if my WoL at last lost the only person who somewhat truly understood. But squeenix gave me the ultimate headcanon idea from the last fight - that she in fact lived, but only because he told her to. But like me, my WoL possibly never truly recovered from what transpired that day 😔 He is SO well done, and it's also an honor he was defeated and died in a fight against the one person that mattered to him. It was poetic and I am afraid no other future opposition to WoL will fill the void left behind in me after the goddamn Garleans XD

He was truly our perfect foil. We could have been like him if we didn’t have the love and support that brought us to the end of Endwalker. In another life, I would’ve loved to be his friend. Maybe he would’ve been different. I don’t know. Would’ve been nice to try.

I really wished we had adult villains like Zenos again instead of beating up little children like Meteion or Calyx. Squex decided we have to throw a pity party everytime instead, because people got offended how insanely strong Zenos is compared to WoL.
