It took 5 days to get to Memphis, then 3 more to get to Austin. That's an Express mail failure. They can get their $160 refunded.

mail lady here. if the express didnt make it there in the proper time frame its been paid for, sender can get the money back for failed delivery.

So, there was a USPS truck that had a big accident recently on the east coast. I really wander if this box was on that truck? It was a semi that wrecked into a divider and a sign post during one of the snow storms. The driver was ok but the trailer was ripped into 2 halves. They had to hire a crew to offload the trailer by hand into another truck so it could all make it yo yhe next facility.

It wasn't packaged properly which isnt their responsibility. Sorting often includes up to 6 ft drops into hampers with other packages so if not packaged properly will get damaged.

USPS is terrible!! I had a package originate in Florida.(I live in Illinois) it went to New York, New Jersey, Indiana, then to me. It took 15 days!!

Should have basic package insurance included with shipping cost, liability is up to $100 and shipping costs will be refundable as well (up to $100 liability plus shipping cost). Anything further would have been something that your family would have had to opt in for. Should only need tracking, documentation of condition on arrival, and a list of contents damaged/estimated MSRP if available. Hope this helps

people. get upset seeing a package tossed to the ground have zero clue they have been thrown against each other. kicked. drop kicked. sat on. stood on. dropped. tossed and generally disregarded. long before the last step of a carrier dropping it on the porch.
