@doctorsood: SVT, or supraventricular tachycardia, happens when the heart’s electrical system misfires and makes it beat much faster than normal. It can be triggered by stress, exercise, dehydration, or caffeine. Most episodes stop on their own, but recurrent ones can be treated permanently with a simple ablation procedure. 220 sitting down is the wildest feeling I’ve ever experienced.

I had my svt treated with an ablation , mine would spike under exercise and then have a hard time coming down unless I did a carotid massage.

I had Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome and this would happen all the time. Had to get two cardiac ablations to cure it. Scary times. All good now though!

I have SVT and it could happen with just sitting on the couch with no triggers. I had an ablation, which has helped, along with medication.

My son has this, sometimes he wakes in the middle of the night shaking. Do you think the shaking has anything to do with the SVT?

Mines get triggered by my panic attacks but thankfully no side effects I just have to sit and do slow breathing or I pinch my nose and blow with my mouth closed

Had SVT, WPW syndrome for a few years before my cardiac ablation. It helped a little but since I have sick sinus syndrome it’s been hard to keep up. Im getting a pacemaker this month hopefully this will help.

Had it frequently as a young woman but it eventually stopped on its own. My doc said it likely would, and thankfully it did.
